... but for now I'm going to see what comes of the blog.

No rotten fruit, please. You know I love my adoption peeps. Y'all are awesome. I satirize with all the love in the world ... and because I am very, very single. And it's not much of a satire, really. I figured, what works in one situation might work in another.
(Although if you do find it horribly offensive or in poor taste, please let me know and I'll make it private again. I do NOT want to hurt feelings, honest.)

:)
the labels of this post make me laugh.
I wish I knew a nice single boy...
hmm...
Oh my goodness. Perfection! Although when I read that you were "committed to a strong, open relationship..." I automatically thought of open marriage before I realized you were playing on open adoptions. :o)
I love it and think its a great idea. I hope it helps Mr. Right find you. And I must add, he will love Roo, or he won't be Mr. Right.
LOL!!! i love it!
Hahahahahaha!
Too funny! I'll share that, while I wasn't actually "looking," my future husband definitely did not have a lot of my must-have qualities. But as we got to know each other and grew, he started to adopt those qualities and made changes to develop into the man of God I know now. What would have happened if I had ruled him out because of his filthy potty mouth? :)
I think that if you'd ruled him out, you would have found someone else. I've never subscribed the the fairytale belief that there's this one true love out there for me. I believe that there are a number of good men out there with whom I could be happy.
My problem, I guess, is that when I think of some of the things that people might say I shouldn't count as a deal-breaker, I think of my ex. You want to talk about a filthy potty mouth ... good grief. I've never heard such filth before. So while before I might have said, oh, I can work with it, he can learn not to swear, now I think, potty mouth? Great, he's just like H. And that's that.
Sigh.
And Lara, I actually had to re-phrase things in that sentence because before, it pretty much did say I wanted an open marriage. Oops :o)
I love it- especially the "waiting" ticker!
PS: I've been imagining pass along cards for your husband adoption. And I have been giggling about it off and on all afternoon. LOL! I even put a link to your husband adoption blog on my blog under "adoption blog links."
Hahaha! :) Love it.
Ha, I get where you're coming from. Then you stick to your guns, girl!
When I was at BYU, I thought about putting a post on the post board (a little advertisement place on campus) for a husband. THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!!
Are you asking married women to place their husbands up for adoption?
