My name is Jill. I had a baby girl, Roo, on July 7th, 2009. I handed her to her mommy and daddy on September 9th, 9 weeks later.
This blog is my attempt to make sense of things and it is my hope that when Roo is older, she'll read it, and maybe she'll understand.

I have never commented before but just wanted to say you write beautifully. It's somethis special to hear your thoughts on adoption and especially coming from a birth mother. I was adopted 41 years ago and can only hope that my birth mother loved me as much as you love Roo...what you did (by giving her to P & M) is one of the loveliest, most selfless actions ever. You sound wonderful, someone I would be great friends with. Anyway, I just want to tell you that most times after I read your blog, tears stream down my face and I usually can't explain why. Thanks for sharing.
I always enjoy reading your perspective as a birth mother. Your writing is beautiful. I was adopted 41 years ago and can only hope my birth mother loved me as much as you love Roo.
